The View from Here
Congrats! You made it to the last day of this Bible Plan. Give yourself a pat on the back, high-five someone, or #treatyoself to some Cheetos.
We’re kidding on that last one.
All kidding aside, you might still have a few questions about dating. That’s okay—dating is full of ups and downs and plenty of surprises. Even so, dating can actually be a way for you to glorify God.
If you’re currently dating someone, it’s time for a little reflection. Does this person bring you closer to Jesus or drive you further away from Him?
If they don’t help bring you closer to Jesus, it’s time for a DTR (define the relationship) talk. Tell them what your priorities are. If they aren’t interested, it’s perfectly okay to end the relationship. It may not be easy, but you’ll end with a lot less regret in the future.
On the other hand, if you’re currently single, it’s never too late to start becoming the person the person you’re looking for is looking for. Today, right now, you can start being the right person.
The best advice for a healthy dating life? Focus on Jesus. Seriously. That’s it. Build your life, and your future, on who Jesus is. Colossians 2:7 says to let our roots grow deep into Him, and to build our lives on Him. Why? Because no one person can fulfill you—only God can do that.
So, what does that mean? It means spend time getting to know who you are, who Jesus is, and what purpose and plans He has for you!
Don’t just focus on finding the right person. Choose, every day, to become the right person. That’s what makes you different, and that’s what makes you dateable.
About this Plan
It seems like relationships are everywhere you look. Whether you’re in one, waiting for one, or happily single, we can all work on the common denominator in our relationships—ourselves. In this 5-day Plan, we’ll look at what it means to be dateable—and you may be surprised.
