The Sower and The Seed - Why the World Cannot Understand

God reminds us that some people will never understand what He is saying – they are blind, deaf and cannot understand. That is because their hearts will not listen, hear or change. As a result, God does not enable them to receive understanding.

When we choose to listen to God speak – we hear, see and understand. It is something that God’s people throughout history wanted, but did not have the opportunity. We have it. Do not waste this chance! Also, do not be surprised when you hear people say it is foolish. They are revealing their heart – that they have no desire to hear God.

Time to Pray

Father, what a special gift You have given us. You opened up Your secrets to Your children. I am amazed how little excitement we show about this tremendous opportunity. Jesus says this is what the great men and women of God from long ago longed for – and we treat it as something small or insignificant – or just too hard to dig out. Father, today I want to dig out the treasures that You have made available to us in Your word. They are special, they are wonderful, and they are precious. They are worth the effort! So give me this heart I ask. In Jesus’ name I pray Amen.
