Called To Influenceنموونە
Ministry is not just for those in church leadership or missionaries abroad. God’s favour rests on us wherever we are and our workplace really matters to him, so we need to stop seeing work just a means to an end to earn a living. By radically changing the way we think about work and partnering with God as we go about our daily activities we can experience greater job satisfaction as we bring Kingdom influence and transformation to those around us.
Leadership is key at every level and part of society and isn’t just for those with a formal title or position of leader. In any given situation, however small that moment may, you have an opportunity to impact your area(s) of influence in a way that reflects the leadership of Jesus, bringing alive the words in the Lord’s Prayer ‘Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’
Whether you are in a formal leadership role or part of a team, permanent or temporary, full time or part-time, paid or voluntary, know that you have been sent to seek, love, serve and transform.
About this Plan
Have you ever considered that God’s missional plan for you most likely sits in your everyday life, which includes the many hours spent at work? Only a small percentage of Christians are called to full time church ministry but we are all instructed to ‘go and make disciples’. Wherever God has positioned you, this is where you are called to influence. You may ask, “Who am I to influence?” and “How do I do this in practice?” Let’s explore these questions together over the next 5 days.
