Day 18: Even Greater Things
Sometimes it is hard to live up to the example that Christ set for us. He is the Son of God after all! Take a second and read John 14:1–14 before reading the reflection. As you read this passage, pay attention to Jesus’s own words describing what we are each capable of.
Reflection
During his ministry on earth, Christ healed the sick, cast out demons, forgave sins, and—oh yeah —walked on water. But even still, in this passage, Jesus promises that whoever believes in him will (and can) do not only the same things he did, but GREATER!
- What miracles have you seen in your life lately?
- Sometimes our lack of faith can be a barrier to what God wants to do through us. What are you struggling to believe God for?
- Do you really believe that you can do the greater works that Christ says you can?

About this Plan
Coming off a retreat or revival? What next? You and I are the church of Jesus Christ on earth today, the visible representation of an invisible God. We have the Holy Spirit living within us, and have been commissioned to shine (illuminate) his love in the midst of a dark world. But what does that mean? How did we get here? And what do we do with all of this? All good questions, and if you stick with us through this journey, we are confident that the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to the light within you that God intends to use to illuminate the world!
