chapter five
1and it is happened, while the crowd people has self pressed to him, so as to hear Hashem's word, and he is standing by the Sea of Gennesaret; 2has he seen two boats lying by the sea shore, and the fishermen are step out of them and have washed the nets. 3is he step in in one of the boats, which has belonging Simon, and has him asked depart a little from the land; and has self sat down and taught the crowds of people out the boat out. 4and when he has finished to speak, has he said to Simon; go over to the depth and allow down your (PL) nets to the catch! 5and answering has Simon said: L-rd, through the whole night have we labored, and nothing seized; but on your word will I lower the nets. 6and when they have the these done, have they seized a great shoal of fish; their nets however have self rip. 7and they have made signs to their companions in the other boat, that they should come them help; and they are come and have filled both boats until to the sink. 8and seeing this, is Simon Peter fell down on the knee before Yehoshua, saying: L-rd, go went away from me, because I am a sinful man! 9because it has him seized a fear with all, who are were with him over the fish, which they have caught, 10and also so James and John, Zavdai's sons, who are was Simon's companions. and Yehoshua has said to Simon: have not any fear; from now onwards will you to catch people. 11and bringing the boats to the land, have they all left and him followed. 12and it is happened, while he was in one of the cities of, look, it was a man full leprosy; and as he has seen Yehoshua, is he fell down on the face, has him begged and said: L-rd, if you (SG) you shall will, you can me make clean!
13and he has stretched out the hand, has him touched and said: I will, be clean! and immediately is the leprosy of him went away. 14and he has him commanded, it no one not to tell, but go, show you to the kohen, and make offering for your cleansing, just as Moses has ordered, for a witness to them! (Leviticus 14, 1-32.) 15however the report about him has self even more spread, and great crowds of people are self come together, him to hear and healed to be from their disease. 16but he has self withdraw in the wilderness into and prayer done.
17and it is happened in one of the days, while he has taught, and are nearby sat Pharisees and scholars of the Torah, who are come out every village of Galilee and Yehudah and Jerusalem; and the power of the L-rd (Hashem) was with him to heal. 18and look, men have carried on a bed a man, who was paralyzed; and have sought him bring in, and to lay before him. 19and not finding (any possibility) how they should him bring in on account of the crowd people, are they climb up on the roof, and have him lowered through the shingles with the little bed/mat in the midst before Yehoshua. 20and when Yehoshua has seen their faith, has he said: man, your sin are you (SG) forgiven become! 21and the scribes and the Pharisees have begun debating, so to say: who is he the (one), who speaks out blasphemies? who can this forgive his sin, except Hashem alone? 22Yehoshua has however understand their thoughts, and has answering said to them: why think you (PL) still in your (PL) hearts? 23what is easier, to say: your sin are you (SG) forgiven become, or to say: stand up and go? 24but so that you (PL) shall know, that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sin—has he said to the paralytic—(to) you say I, stand up and take your little bed/mat and go home! 25and in an eye blink is he stand up again before them, has taken the (little bed/mat) on which he is lying, and is went away home praising Hashem. 26and a amazement has (to) everyone seize, and they have praised Hashem; and are filled become with fear and have said: incredible things have we today seen!
27and after that is he went out and has seen a tax collector, with the name Levi, sitting at the tax office (booth), and has to him said: follow me after! 28and he has all left, is stand up again and has him followed. 29and Levi has for him made a great banquet in his house, and it was a great crowd (of) tax collectors and other, who are sat with them (at table). 30and the Pharisees and their scribes have murmured to the disciples his, so to say: why eat you (PL) and drink with tax collectors and sinners? 31and Yehoshua has answering said to them: not the healthy require self in a physician, but the sick; 32I have not come to call righteous (ones), but sinners to repentance! 33they however have said to him: John's disciples fast often and do prayer, so do also the disciples of the Pharisees; yours however to eat and drink. 34has Yehoshua to them said: (question) can you (PL) then make fast the wedding people while the bridegroom is with them? 35there will however come days, when the bridegroom will taken away to be from them; then will they fast in those days. 36and has also said a parable to them: no one cuts not up any patch from a new garment and puts it on an old garment; because if yes, is also he cuts up the new, also the patch from the new (hold) fast not the old. 37it pours also no one not into any new wine in old skin-bottle; because if yes, burst the new wine the skin-bottle, and becomes its own poured out and the skin-bottle go lost; 38but new wine must they pour in in new skin-bottle. 39and no one, who has drink old, wants new; because he says: the old is good!
