So Be Itনমুনা
To praise God isn’t to stroke a needy ego; it’s to tell the truth about His divine character – praiseworthy to the core. To thank God is to declare our dependence upon His goodness, voicing our gratitude with humble faith. The psalmist deems both the appropriate way to make our approach to God’s throne. As you pray now, praise Him for as many qualities of His character you can think of and thank Him for the ways He has provided for you.
Most High and Holy God, from whom through whom and to whom are all things, there is none like you, faithful and true, righteous and just, self-existent above and beyond all time. I praise you for your kindness, your power and sustaining grace…Thank you, for the innumerable ways you have made your goodness known to me. Thank you for the gift of life, health, presence of mind, and for the opportunities you give me to grow and serve and make a difference in your world. May others experience you to be praiseworthy through me and find reason to give thanks as I do today. Amen. So Be It.
