Them: Reaching Your World
If you live like no one else, later you can live—and give—like no one else. You’ve seen that play out in the first steps of The Legacy Journey. You’ve seen how you can move from the pressure of Now to the future focus of Then. You’ve also seen how you can change your family tree in Us.
The final step takes the framework to a new level, as the opportunities for creating a lasting legacy just explode. Your family is secure, but your vision continues to expand. You start to recognize needs all around you and the eternal impact you can have on the world.
You’ve reached the stage called Them.
In Them, the vision you’ve been nurturing stops being yours alone. It becomes a kingdom vision because you’re seeing things through the eyes of Christ!
It challenges you to be part of solutions around the world. You contribute to HIV prevention in Africa. You buy mosquito netting to fight malaria in Central America. You invest to provide wells for orphanages in Haiti.
But you also see deep needs in your own backyard. You see a hungry child down the street or a single parent whose electricity is about to be cut off sitting down the pew. In Them, you have the resources to change their world—and they may never even find out it was you! That’s fun!
And by blessing others, you allow God to bless you. That’s the truth of Proverbs 28:27—those who invest in others tend to prosper because God can trust them with more.
You can’t do all that when you’re broke, and you can’t do it until your family is secure. But as you walk farther down The Legacy Journey—from Now to Then to Us to Them—start asking God to show you needs right now. Begin making a kingdom difference where you are while building a legacy for where God is leading you.
God owns it all and we are only managers. That’s the guiding principle of The Legacy Journey, which teaches you how to grow your money, manage it responsibly and share it to impact the world.
