Heroes: Devotions From Time of Grace Ministryনমুনা
LEADERSHIP: CALEB
You would think that every man, woman, and child among the Israelites who had experienced the stupendous display of God's power during their exodus from Egyptian slavery would be ready for anything. You would think that they would fear nothing, knowing the immense power of heaven that was behind them. Well, maybe for a bit, at first, but the passage of days and weeks of some hardships caused their courage to melt away.
Ten of Moses' twelve scouts brought back a fearful report of the land of Canaan that God had directed them to conquer. The people mostly believed those negative reports and complained bitterly about Moses' leadership, demanding that they be allowed to return to Egypt and beg to get their old slave jobs back.
Only Joshua and his friend Caleb still had enough confidence that the Lord of Israel could carry out the agenda He had commanded: "Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, ‘We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."(Numbers 13:30).
The leaders who are my heroes are optimistic. They believe in a God of abundance, a God without limits. They believe in a God who does what He says He'll do. They are leaders without fear.

About this Plan
In this 31 day reading plan, enjoy Pastor Jeske's personal collection of biblical heroes. One of the many things the Bible does for us is to let us hear the stories of some rough and broken people who God found useful to Him. Learning by the example of others is a great way to learn.
