Holy Tuesday: Standing Strong in Truth
On Holy Tuesday, Jesus continued teaching in the temple, sharing important lessons with the people. He told the Parable of the Tenants (Matthew 21:33-44), which was a warning about the consequences of rejecting God. In this story, the owner’s son was killed by the workers—just as Jesus knew He would be rejected and killed by the religious leaders.
Jesus spoke with authority and certainty, teaching about the kingdom of God and what would happen in the future. He also pointed out the hypocrisy of the religious leaders, challenging them to change their ways. Though many people still admired Jesus, the religious leaders were becoming more and more upset with Him and were planning to arrest Him.
Later that day, as Jesus left the city, He taught about the future, telling His followers about His return and the importance of staying faithful (Matthew 24-25). Through all of this, Jesus was clear about who He was—the Son of God—and He wanted people to recognize Him for who He truly is.
On Holy Tuesday, Jesus shows us how to stand firm in our faith, even when others challenge or oppose us. He kept teaching and speaking the truth, knowing what would happen. This day reminds us that we, too, are called to stand strong in our beliefs, even when it’s difficult or when others don’t agree.
Reflection:
Jesus’ example of standing firm in faith is a powerful model to follow. Are there areas in your life where it’s hard to speak the truth or stand up for what you believe in? How can you be more like Jesus and stand strong, even when it’s not easy?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for standing strong and sharing the truth, even when it was hard. Help me to be brave in my faith, trusting that You are always with me. Give me the strength to stand firm and speak Your truth with love. Amen.
About this Plan

Holy Week is the most important time of the year for Christians. It’s when we remember Jesus’ last days on earth—His suffering, death, and resurrection. This week is a chance to slow down, reflect, and focus on what Jesus did for us.
