Forgivenessনমুনা

Jesus knows us. He sees right through the masks we wear, and still, He loves us and longs to draw near to us—even when we are at our worst. Imagine that! The many ways we attempt to hide our shortcomings only keep us held captive.
Do you want to keep pretending, or do you want to bring all your weaknesses into the light—and let Jesus help?
Hebrews 2 says…
…it was only right that God should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring us into our salvation. So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy (that means you—us) they have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters.
Maybe you’re thinking, “Wait, Jesus was already perfect? How could He be made perfect?” Ah! You’re right!
This passage isn’t talking about Jesus becoming more perfect. It’s talking about how Jesus became the Savior that is just right for us. Jesus is fully God and fully human. It was through His suffering and trials on the earth that Jesus identified with our human experience in this broken world.
He’s no stranger to the brokenness of the world because He lived in it! Through every type of human trouble, He remained holy. He is compassionate towards every kind of trouble we face, and He is the One who also empowers us to overcome.
Now He calls us brothers and sisters right in the middle of our challenges and troubles. He gets it!
Aren’t you glad that, with Jesus, you don’t have to pretend that you’ve got it all figured out?
Hebrews 4:15 says...
We have a High Priest who understands our weakness. He faced all the same testings that we do, but without sinning.
Even the Apostle Paul—the man who wrote so much of the New Testament—said it in Romans 7:
I don’t really understand myself. I want to do what is right, but I don’t! Instead, I do what I hate.
Jesus knows we can only experience victory over sin with His help.
That is why He came.
That is why He died.
And that is why He rose again!
He overcame sin and death on our behalf.
Is there a struggle in your life that no one understands? Well, Jesus does. You can talk it over with Him.
Will you pray with me?
Thank You, God—You understand me so completely. I don’t have it all together. Will You meet me in my weakness? I know You can help me deal with the sin in my life. Free me, day by day, Lord. Amen.
