The Breath of Lentনমুনা

This week has centered on the cost of discipleship, which speaks of trial, difficulty, and suffering. Certainly, this is true, but the believer has a treasure trove of riches to draw from for strength.
Do not underestimate the phrase "seek his face always." At first glance, we would conclude that it means spending time in prayer, which would be correct. Let's look at it from another angle.
Seek His face always at every turn of your day- the smile of a friend, the smell of coffee, having the funds to purchase groceries. These are everyday occurrences that can be easily shrugged off as mundane happenings. Let us revisit the definition of "miracle," which is to wonder and marvel.
Consistent, growing discipleship comes at a cost. We need to be strong for the journey. Possibly today, you need to look at some of the daily happenings as something to stop and receive as a miracle, a gracious gift, an extraordinary event that is a kiss from God to strengthen you for whatever is ahead.
Don't let your day become daily or mundane. Find joy around every corner. Find the extraordinary in the ordinary. Finding a blessing in the familiar fuels you for whatever lies ahead.
Inhale: I can do all this
Exhale: Through him who gives me strength.
