Leading With Faith in the Hard Placesনমুনা

Day 2: Courage – Saying Yes Even When You’re Afraid
Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Courage is not the absence of fear—it is choosing to move forward despite it. As leaders, we often have to take leaps of faith. We step into unknowns, make unpopular decisions, and take responsibility when things go wrong. God doesn’t promise an easy path, but He promises His presence.
Joshua was stepping into leadership after Moses, leading the Israelites into the Promised Land. God didn’t tell him, “It will be easy.” He told him, “Be strong and courageous. I am with you.” That is the promise we stand on.
One of the hardest moments of courage was facing the loss of donors who I believed in, only to gain supporters who truly aligned with my mission. It was a painful transition, but it was also a reminder that courage sometimes looks like letting go.
Reflection Question: Where is God calling you to be courageous in your leadership today?
Prayer: Father, give me the courage to step boldly into the places You have called me to. Help me to trust that You are with me, even when I feel afraid. Remind me that You go before me, making a way. Amen.
