Government of Peaceনমুনা
Who are these sentinels?
Isaiah 62:6-7, it says: "On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all day and all night they shall never keep silent. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest, till He establish Jerusalem and make her praise in the earth."
Within that government, there are sentinels who guard everything, I think, and who respond appropriately to it, with what? With the word of God. Every time I memorize a verse or meditate on it, God begins to form a new sentinel there, who will be willing to defend my mind and my heart.
Where are those guards placed? On my walls, in every part of my brain where my thoughts are lodged... The Lord Himself places them, and they respond, whether it be during the day as I go about my daily tasks, my work, my studies, or at night as I rest, meditate, or sleep (Isaiah 62:6-7).
These sentinels are guards who speak and "do not keep silent" and speak words of life, virtue, love, peace, joy, strength, and kindness, among others (Philippians 4:8). The more I meditate on the Word of God, the more guards there are in my mind, establishing themselves until "Jerusalem is restored." Jerusalem means "peace" until peace is established in all its dominions.
God has called your mind "Jerusalem," that is, City of Peace, and who governs it? The Prince of Peace, the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6).
In that city of your mind, God places sentinels who are all day reminding you who you are in Jesus, the sacrifice of Christ, His love, His blood shed on the cross, His peace and His help.
I must remember that my mind is like a muscle that must be exercised and put in to execute the ideas and designs that God has given me; therefore, for my mind to be exercised and these sentinels as well, during the day, I must be willing to memorize biblical verses very intentionally in regard to what is happening to me, and, of course, the Holy Spirit will not leave you alone; He will help you find that verse that you will be memorizing.
Trust Him; God is with you, and soon your mind will begin to feel improvements and relief, benefits that only our God can give.
By strengthening my mind, it is filled with life, but how do I strengthen my mind? Through discipline, it cannot be accepting every thought that comes, nor wandering around without control. It is first and foremost captive to the obedience of Christ, and its King is Jesus Christ; therefore, it is subject to a government; it is not controlled by emotions, feelings, sensations, or prejudices.
It is dominated by the Word of God; this is important because when a mind does what it wants, it does not advance to any place; it lacks decision, and loses the enjoyment of the day that the Lord gives it.
About this Plan
"When a new King reigns in the city of your mind," as Isaiah 60:17 says, "I will make peace your governor and righteousness your magistrates." In the city of my mind, a new kingdom has been established, ruled by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, my beloved Jesus Christ. He has established a reign of peace there.
