Sharing Your Faith With Friends and Family: A Practical Guide

DAY 5 OF 5

Remember That God Can Be Planting Seeds, Even If We Don’t See It Right Away

Any conversation we have about Jesus or faith can plant a seed in someone's heart, even if we don’t see immediate results. These moments of sharing, whether big or small, can be part of a much bigger picture that isn't always visible to us. It can be disheartening to share our faith and not see immediate fruit, but trust that God is at work, even if we can’t see it right away.

In 1 Corinthians 3:6-8, Paul writes, “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.”

Our efforts in sharing the Gospel might not show immediate results, but remember that a seed planted by us could be harvested by someone else 2, 5, 10, 15, or even 50 years later. God can use our words and actions to have a much larger impact over time. Continue to trust that He is working, even if the fruit isn’t visible right away. Your faithfulness in sharing the Gospel is part of a divine plan that we might not fully understand but can trust in.

Share Your Faith: Speak to two different friends or family members about Jesus. Use the tools and insights from this plan to guide your conversations.

Reflect and Trust: As this week comes to an end, remember that God is with you in every situation and hears your prayers. He acknowledges your efforts and the moments you’ve shared your faith. Continue to worship Him, be bold in your sharing, and trust that He is making a difference in the lives of those you love.

Father God, thank You for all that You are and all that You have done in my life. I am grateful for Your continued love and support and for the wisdom You provide each day. I pray that the seeds I have planted through my actions, faith conversations, and personal testimony may be nurtured and harvested in Your perfect timing. I ask that these seeds, whether planted today or years from now, may lead to a deeper understanding of Your love and greatness for those I care about. May my family and friends come to see and experience Your incredible love and transformative power. Amen.
