Financial Discipleship – the Bible on the Poorনমুনা

Returning to the story of Job, we learn about more than a blameless man losing everything and getting it all back twofold. From faithful and noble Job, we also learn what truly matters to the Lord: tending to those in need.
In chapter 29, Job considers some of the most righteous ways to love God and others:
- Help the poor who cry out
- Help the fatherless who are helpless
- Bring joy to the widows
- Become eyes for the blind and feet for those who cannot walk
- Take those in need under your wing
- Investigate the case you did not know
- Stop the unrighteous from taking advantage of others
So, how do we honor God?
By being obedient and humble enough to let Him use us to be a blessing to others.
Sometimes that means lending a hand. Sometimes that means bringing hope. Sometimes that means going out of your way. And sometimes that means being courageous and standing up to those who do wrong.
