Dealing With Anxious Thoughtsনমুনা
HEAVY BURDENS
Hiking is fun, but do we really need to carry heavy backpacks? What about Hebrews 12:1-3 - can't we lay down our burdens? Let's unpack (pun intended) what that verse means!
Watch the video, then spend a few minutes reflecting on the questions and prayers below.
READ
"Let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."
Hebrews 12:1 ESV
THINK
How do you normally deal with your worries?
- I ignore them.
- I tell God.
- I talk to someone I trust.
- I keep them to myself.
- I try to face them alone.
DO
Make a list of things you're worried about today; then tell God about everything on there and how each one's making you feel. Ask Him to help you with each of those things.
Has this changed how you feel?
- This has really helped me!
- I feel a little bit better now.
- I'm still worrying.
- I'm not sure how I feel.
- I don't feel any different.
PRAY
Thank You, God, for being a friend who I can share my problems with. When I'm worried, please show me how to give my concerns to You.

About this Plan
Anxious thoughts can affect any of us at any time, but the Bible has plenty of wisdom to help us find strength and hope. Based on UCB's new daily devotional app for kids, UCB Spark, these devotions are designed to help children (aged around 10-12) personally connect with God's Word and find a place of peace with Him.
