Giving Thanks in Every Seasonনমুনা
Day 1: Thankful in the Wilderness
In Deuteronomy 8:2-3, Moses reminds the Israelites of their time in the wilderness, where God humbled them and tested their hearts. During this time, they were completely dependent on God’s provision. He provided manna from heaven to sustain them and taught them to rely on Him rather than their own strength.
The wilderness seasons of our lives—whether they’re marked by financial hardship or personal struggles—are opportunities to grow in our dependence on God. It’s easy to thank God when things are going well, but true gratitude is learned in the wilderness. In these moments, we discover that God is our provider, and we learn to trust Him more deeply.
Today, reflect on a wilderness season you’ve gone through or may be experiencing now. Thank God for His faithfulness during that time, and trust that He is providing for you, even when the way forward isn’t clear.
Reflection Questions:
• How has God provided for you in past wilderness seasons?
• What are some ways you can express thankfulness to God, even in difficult times?
• How does focusing on God’s provision help you maintain a thankful heart?
