The Path of Perseveranceনমুনা
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' James 4:6
This is a scripture that we are all familiar with and can even quote, but we MUST allow it to penetrate every area of our hearts — humility is the way of Jesus, and in the place of humility, there is grace. Christ displayed for us His own submission to the Father in the wilderness. Have you sensed an increase of “spiritual warfare” in your life? It is time to draw near and tether yourself to your Provision. Have you found yourself asking for the same thing over and over but have yet to see it come to fruition? It’s time to submit those things to God and receive the grace He’s offering in the middle to be where He has you. James then ends the chapter with this reminder that it is God who judges, God who is able to save and destroy, and ultimately, God who wills to do in you.
- Take time to look into the meaning behind submitting to God (4:7), drawing near to Him (4:8), and humbling yourself (4:10).
- Reflect on areas in your life where pride might be hindering your relationship with God or others. In what ways can you go low (walk in humility)? Receive the grace available to you as you approach Him with these things.

About this Plan
In the final hour, many will fall away, but there will be a remnant that finishes the race of faith well. Now, more than ever before, we need a reawakening in our hearts of the true meaning of enduring through trial, suffering, and pain in light of the return of Jesus. "The Path of Perseverance" is a 26-day journey through the books of Philippians, 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, James, 1st & 2nd Peter, and Jude.
