Investing in Eternal Treasureনমুনা
Day 3: Working with an Eternal Perspective
Colossians 3:23-24 NIV “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Reflection:
These verses remind us that everything we do—whether in our jobs, families, or ministries—should be done as if we are serving the Lord directly. Our efforts are not just for human recognition or earthly reward, but for eternal inheritance. When we give our best and serve others, especially in financial matters, we are laying up treasures in heaven that will outlast anything we accomplish on earth.
Application:
How do you approach your work and financial decisions? Are you working and giving with an eternal perspective? Challenge yourself to think of each task, no matter how small, as an opportunity to serve God. Whether it’s through supporting your church financially, volunteering your time, or being faithful in your workplace, remember that God sees and rewards your efforts.
Prayer:
"Lord, help me see my work and financial contributions as ways to serve You. Give me the strength to work wholeheartedly and give joyfully, knowing that I am investing in something far greater than this world can offer. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen."
