10 Minutes - The Word & Worship
Alright, you made it 5 minutes! Can you add 5 more? Of course, you can! We believe in you!
As you continue to implement The 5-5-5 Method in your life, with the goal of having Jesus be the centre of all your life, to recognize that He is worthy and He is the One who deserves to be of the utmost importance in your life; a necessary and Scripturally commanded aspect of knowing Him, following Him, and loving Him; is to worship Him.
Now, some of you may be uncomfortable doing this at first. However, you must understand, it's a lot easier and more comfortable to worship when you realize that the One you’re worshipping is the One and Only True Living God who so loved the world—God so loved you—that He gave His One and Only begotten Son to die on the cross for your sins, the sins that you deserved to die for—Jesus died for you—but God rose Him from the dead, and declared that anyone who believes that Jesus rose from the dead and openly declares that Jesus is Lord, would have everlasting life and be saved. If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
What Jesus did on the cross actually counted for you too... yes, YOU.
When you realize the truth stated above counts for you, it makes it a lot easier to worship Him because you recognize how worthy of your praise He actually is.
He’s worthy of it all. He’s worthy of it all! He deserves the glory!
That sounds like it could be a good song. Well, actually, it is! Type “Worthy Of It All“ into YouTube and listen to one of the top-viewed versions. It should be one of the first few you see. Listen to it, ponder on what He’s done for you, thank Him, and even sing along.
I implore you: He’s worthy of it all. He’s worthy of your all. He’s worthy of your song.
So whether you worship Him first, or read His Word, whatever you do, don't spend less than 5 minutes in God’s Word and 5 minutes worshipping Him. He's worthy of your commitment to Him.
Spending more time with Him in the Word does not mean you should skip your time worshipping Him, or vice versa. Time with Him in His Word and time spent worshipping Him are both necessary components of having a relationship with Him, and tomorrow we will talk about another aspect of the relationship that He desires to have with you.
From here on out, starting today, spend at least 10 minutes with Him in His Word, and by worshipping Him.
God is worthy.
