In His Image: Discover Your True Identity

DAY 3 OF 7

God is Light

God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). This truth not only speaks to God's purity and holiness but also to His role as a guide in our lives. His light reveals truth, exposes darkness, and illuminates the path we should walk. When we embrace God’s light, we can see the world, ourselves, and our circumstances through His perspective.

I’ve had seasons where I felt lost, walking in darkness, unsure of where to turn. In those times, it was God’s light that guided me back to truth. The world may offer temporary solutions, but only God's light can bring lasting clarity and peace. His light exposes the lies we’ve believed about ourselves, the doubts that have kept us trapped, and the sin that weighs us down. It’s through His light that we find true freedom.

Reflecting God’s light in our own lives means living in truth and integrity. It means being transparent with ourselves and with others, allowing His light to shine through us. We are called to be beacons of light in a dark world, showing others the way to Christ by how we live.

If you’re feeling lost today, ask God to illuminate the areas of your life that need His light. Whether it’s a tough decision, a hidden fear, or a dark situation, His light will bring clarity and hope.

Reflection Prompt:
What areas of your life need God’s light? Spend time in prayer, asking Him to illuminate those areas and lead you into His truth.
