Perseverance in the Workplaceনমুনা
Waiting seems to be one of the worst thing to ask anyone. That period between getting a promise and actually receiving that promise can be very unnerving, especially if it has something to do with your work. That's because you can never be too sure if it will really happen. Even if you've done your best, it may not necessarily be good enough. If it doesn't push through, not only do you feel like a complete failure but you may also be feeling like you've just wasted your time, energy and resources for nothing.
That's what I love about God's economy. Nothing is lost or wasted. All of God's promises are a done deal. He never lies or change His mind. He doesn't give us any false hopes or lead us around the bush (see Num. 23.19). But here's the thing: God will give His promises to us not necessarily on our timetable. In fact, He may not even give it to us in the manner that we'd think or expect (see Isa. 55.8-9). That's why there will be times when our prayers seem the be answered almost instantly while others seem to take forever for God to answer.
If you have been holding to a promise God has given you, and you haven't seen it happen yet, don't despair! God knows not only the perfect time, but also the perfect way. Just keep the faith and trust that He has already scheduled for it to come.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I realize now that You have set an appointed time for everything, and I may not necessarily know when it will come or how it will happen. I choose to remain expectant and trust that You will bring my breakthrough no matter how long it takes. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

About this Plan
This 14-day devotional by Pablo de Borja is written out of his 36 plus years as a lawyer and his burning urge, relentless and tenacious desire, to share the WORD with regularity and constancy in ways showing that it is alive, exists and subsists to be lived. The WORD, as it is pertinent to, and connected with, everyday life is the crux of the sharing and so shall it continue to be such.
