A Message From the Kingdom
OUR LORD IS COMING!
MAIN IDEAS
• The promise of Jesus’ return to earth is reaffirmed in the message John brings from Him, out of the Eternal Kingdom.
• Some will be left outside the Kingdom.
• Jesus’ return will happen SOON, and the Holy Spirit, along with us – the bride of Jesus – says: “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”
The book of Revelation ends with a restating of the promise made by JESUS that He will soon return to earth to bring the mystery of GOD to fruition – the plan to restore fallen man who was banished from the presence of GOD and the Tree of Life. Jesus’ return will bring a reward to those who are waiting for Him and who wish for His return, while at the same time, it will leave those who have chosen to continue living in sin out of His KINGDOM for eternity. That means that He will make a selection, and His Kingdom will not be open to anyone.
The way we approach Jesus’ promise - “See, I am coming soon” - is the most conclusive proof of what kind of Christians we are. The authentic Christian will say, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”, while the Christian in name only will prefer delaying His return. If, at the beginning of the history of salvation, we see man banished from the presence of GOD and forbidden from eating from the Tree of Life, at the end of the history of salvation, man is received again in the presence of GOD, on a new earth, where GOD will live among His people. The Tree of Life will be available to those who are saved.
To benefit from this status, we are invited to wash our clothing in the blood of the Lamb, as the redemption work done by JESUS is the “key to salvation” and the focal point of the history of redemption.
