Maverick for Christনমুনা
Noah The Righteous
A maverick is an independent-minded person, who throws caution to the wind, without concern for what others may think. Let’s focus on a few individuals in the Bible who decided to go against the grain. Because they answered the call of God, and by their examples, a profound impact was made for all mankind to witness and learn from.
Noah, as the bible tells us, was “a just man, perfect in his generations,” Gen 6:9. The state of the world during Noah’s time was “corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence,” Gen 6:11. We can deduce that Noah would have been very different from most of the people on earth during his time. The Bible says Noah was 500-600 years old before he finished building the ark. Could you imagine building a huge tank liner, in the middle of a field, for one hundred years, and being surrounded by people who would never believe it because God told you a huge flood was coming? I’m sure everyone (even his family) thought he was nuts!
Noah pressed forward and completed building the ark to God’s specifications, regardless of his circumstances. Lord, thank you for Noah, the righteous maverick, who didn’t back down from a challenge of (pun intended) biblical proportions. Because Noah obeyed God's call according to God’s will, an entire world was repopulated and given a second chance.

About this Plan
There are growing, ungodly opinions of how our churches and Christian communities should conduct themselves. There’s a lot of misdirection. Young adults give the impression that they are unsure of what is morally correct. Many fellow Christians wish to take the easy road by staying quiet; regardless of their loudly protesting and discerning thoughts. The world desperately needs Christian mavericks to lead the way, without fear, and with sound advice. This devotional is written to encourage Christians to be Mavericks for Christ and to stand for what is right without fear of having an unpopular opinion.
