3-Line Motto for Christian Living at Home & Workনমুনা

Authors note:
Decades ago, when our kids were still little, my wife & I posted a small sign with a few words plus a cartoon picture of a fish to help us honor God as we tried to follow Jesus in our daily lives. The words on that little sign became our family slogan and has been passed to many others over the years. I hope that it now can be a blessing to you and your family also!

Line 1
As you already know, you were created in the image of God, especially to glorify Him. It’s what the Bible says – check these verses from the first & last books of the Bible:
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. – Genesis 1:27
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.–Revelations 4:11
The Apostle Paul adds clarity to this, telling us that we are to bring glory to God in all that we do – at home with family, out with friends, and working our jobs also:
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.– Colossians 3:23-24
We can of course dig deep into these verses and complicate our thinking, but for the 1st line of our 3-line motto, let’s keep it simple with just these 3 words:
Do Your Best
