4 Biblical Ways to Strengthen Your Finances

DAY 1 OF 4

Hey Friend!

For the next four days let's take a look at wisdom and strategies we can use to strengthen our finances - all of which comes from the Bible!

Today, let’s start with the little things…

You know how life has a way of teaching us big lessons through small moments? Well, our finances are no different.

Jesus put it this way in Luke 16:10-11, "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much."

So it seems like God is putting us to the test a little bit.

This idea pops up again in the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-15, and Paul reinforces it in 1 Corinthians 4:2 when he says, "Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." These all point to a simple truth: how we handle a little reveals how we'd handle a lot.

Now, at this moment, we might think, "I'm barely making ends meet. All I can focus on is scraping by each month"

If that’s you, I feel for you friend.

Managing money and trying to get ahead with everything that is going on right now with the economy is honestly really hard.

I had many years struggling and living paycheck to paycheck, wondering how I'd pay my rent every month, and maybe you are there too right now.

But here's the thing we always have to remember: stewardship isn't about how much you have, it's about how you handle what you have.

So here's a challenge for us today:

What if we improved our money habits by just 1%?

It doesn't have to be huge.

Maybe it's just tracking our spending for the day or setting up an automatic transfer to savings. It's a small step, but if we do it consistently, it's like compound interest for our financial life.

Let's choose one tiny financial habit to start right now. And let’s make it easy for now…

Before we go to bed tonight, let’s ask ourselves: "What's one thing I can do to make good money choices easier tomorrow?"

See you then!
