Day 7: The Reality of Spiritual Warfare

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).

Theme

While the visible battle over the Bible rages, this film skillfully portrays an equally important spiritual warfare unfolding in the unseen, supernatural realm. This invisible clash between forces upholding the truth of God’s Word and forces seeking to distort it represents a spiritual reality that believers face every day. Just as human aggressors sometimes attack God’s Word, the Bible reveals our true enemies are really malevolent spiritual powers. Satan and his demons wage a constant offensive against biblical truth. Believers need spiritual discernment to avoid spiritual deceptions that try to distort the truth of the Bible.

Even though the opposition came from actual human authorities, the film also portrays an intense, high-stakes spiritual battle between light and darkness, good and evil, truth and lies.
