Holding on to Hope in Your Waiting Season a 5-Day Plan by Krista Pettifordনমুনা
Praise
No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.
Romans 4:20
Praise is the remedy for unbelief and wavering faith. The Greek word waver in Romans 4:20 means to doubt, withdraw, oppose, hesitate, and judge incorrectly. The word glory means to worship, honor, and praise God. Strengthen means to empower and enable.
When we are in a waiting season, whether we choose to worry or worship makes all the difference in how we wait - with weakened, wavering faith or faith that is continually strengthened to hold our hope in place.
Though it’s true that praise and worship strengthen our faith in God, at times, we won’t feel like praising God when we are in a waiting season.
Thankfully, praise is not based on feelings. It is based on God’s truth that we hope in, focus on, and cling to. Praise, however, produces feelings of peace, trust, and resting in God’s faithfulness.
When Abraham and Sarah started praising God, they stopped wavering before they saw any sign of their promise being fulfilled and grew strong in their faith.
A lifestyle of praise and worship doesn’t stop opposing thoughts from suddenly popping into our minds. Nor will it stop conflicting news that is not from the Lord from coming to you by a foe or a friend - someone with good intentions who often encourages you to give up on God’s promises and do the reasonable thing. There will always be opportunities to waver in our faith.
Beloved, you might pause momentarily when contradictory news is brought to you or an opportunity to doubt presents itself. Still, if you purposely choose to praise God, your faith will grow strong.

About this Plan
Krista Pettiford encourages believers in a waiting season not to give up when God gives them an impossible-sized promise – something contrary to what our circumstances conclude that only God can do. God kept His word to Abraham and Sarah after waiting twenty-five years because they held to their hope, and He will do the same for you.
