“The man who has God for his treasure has all things in One.” A.W. Tozer
Read Matthew 6:21
Too often, the status quo of our talent, time, and treasure is used to produce more for us and promote us. The thought of using our resources to lift up others and praise Jesus seems crazy in today’s culture. But our minds are reflected through our interaction with the stuff of the world.
My mind is reflected in the usage of my talents.
My mind is revealed in the usage of my time.
My mind is represented in the usage of my treasure.
So we have to ask ourselves:
Does the usage of our resources reflect a mind that loves our neighbors and glorifies God?
Yikes! I know that’s a tricky question, but we have to get honest with ourselves and seek out the mind of Christ in all areas of our lives - including our resources.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
- Does using my resources reflect a mind that loves my neighbors and glorifies God?
- Spend some time reflecting on the Tozer quote above. Write your thoughts:
- Why do we hold so tight to our resources? What do you think our view of stuff reflects what we think about God?

About this Plan

The purpose of this devotional is to take a deeper look into the "uncommon" living for those of us walking with Jesus. We are declared holy through Christ, so how do we walk in that holiness? How can we be set apart and walk out our holiness?
