YOU + GOD = MORE THAN ENOUGH (The Keys to Walking in Spiritual Authority & Emotional Intelligence)নমুনা
Understanding the Assignment
We see throughout the Old Testament a number of God-given assignments. We can see some very tall assignments from Moses, to Deborah, to Rahab, to Samuel and one of my favorites, Gideon. They each realized they couldn’t complete their assignment without God’s guidance and assistance.
Moses led the Israelites to freedom from the Egyptians. Deborah, one of the only female judges, helped the Israelites defeat Sisera and enjoy peace for 40 years. Rahab hid the spies and helped them conquer Canaan. We definitely can’t forget Samuel from Day 1 of this plan. Samuel told the people "As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right," in 1 Samuel 12:23. He became a Chief Priest and an Intercessor for the people. He consistently went up before the throne offering up prayers on behalf of the people and he would come back with a response from God for the people. He knew his assignment.
One lesson in the Old Testament that consistently reminds me of how God gives assignments greater than our natural mind can comprehend is the story of Gideon in the book of Judges. Gideon was a Judge, a military leader and a Prophet of the Lord. God used him to deliver his people with a very small army against the very large Midianite army, but God was on his side from the beginning. His assignment was far greater than he could imagine. Gideon asked God to confirm on more than one occasion that it was him using him to defeat this really large army. I’m sure many of us can relate to how Gideon constantly needed confirmation from God. This life lesson drew him closer to the Father and he won the war without lifting a sword. The assignment Gideon was on was one of faith, hope and ensuring the purpose God had in store for him was true.
I feel like my life has been a perpetual walk of faith at the highest degree possible. Just like Gideon, I have been extremely insecure about hearing the voice of God. I haven’t just asked three times. I have asked too many to count. However, God still shows up faithfully to give me comfort that it is his voice and his direction for my life.
If you are trying to know God more intimately, you have to understand your assignment. You have to know deep down in your soul that your character, your self-esteem, your self-worth will all be a part of God‘s building process. Then you can confidently walk hand in hand with the Father knowing that the places he has purposed for you, are for you.
In understanding the assignment, you have to learn to stare the enemy in his face and let him know that you see him. When he is trying to abort the promise that God has given, quote the word of God over your circumstances. While doubt and feeling trapped can be crippling at times, the lesson in trust is required to believe God can do what he says he will do. Whether welcomed or not, it shapes you to cultivate hope, faith, and belief in the seemingly impossible.
One of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Any tongue that rises up in judgment thou shall condemn." If you are hearing the voice of the Lord, just know that God will reveal how to do what is on the altar and anyone that comes to stop God's plan has to deal with God. All you need to do is move out of the way.
God will make sure that you have what you need for HIS purpose (not yours) to be fulfilled to become a change agent for him. You will become an atmosphere changer, a conduit for Christ and bring others who may have questions closer to the one who does all things well.
When it is YOU + GOD there will be sound wisdom, clear understanding and revelatory knowledge that will be your compass and your guide. Your task will yield results that unleash power and authority in the name of the One who bestows all power. God will help you and others see with full assurance that…
YOU + GOD = will ALWAYS equal MORE THAN ENOUGH.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, May I clearly understand the assignment you have over my life and walk in the spiritual authority and emotional intelligence that will lead others to know you are the God of the breakthrough.
