LOVE IS YOUR LABEL

When you want to know what’s inside the food package you’re buying, you read the label. When you read the label on the outside, you don’t have to really go dig on the inside to find out what’s there because the label on the outside is the indicator of what you are getting.

For Christians, there is to be a label on the outside reflecting God’s reality on the inside. Our love should be the label that lets you know how real God is in us.

How well do you love? What about other believers that you know? What about the stranger on the street? Or the people who are unkind or harder to love? Do you reflect God’s heart for them? How is your love label doing these days?

This is not some minor concern but the heart of the serious Christian. It’s the greatest way to live; for the Christian, it’s the only way to live: to let love label you and mark you from the inside out.

For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

I JOHN 3:11

We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I JOHN 3:16

But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I CORINTHIANS 13:13

Father, Your love is the best covering and the best way forward. Teach me to love as You do so others will know that I am Yours.
