Well able – no matter what
Reading
Numbers 13:30 [NLT]: "But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!”
Reflection
There are brothers on Life Row I call my prayer warriors. Their prayers and the way they live for Christ give me confidence to believe I am well able – no matter what – to do Jesus’ will every day.
We need people like Caleb in our lives – those who take God at His Word and give strength to you and me to do the same. But we all need to be Caleb ourselves. You and I need to be well able – no matter what – to do God’s will.
But sometimes we fail by not responding, not loving, not forgiving. We fail by not moving in compassion toward others. You and I fail because we do not act as if we are well able – no matter what.
Caleb did not fail because of what God told him. As you prepare for work today, God is telling you the same thing He told Caleb and everyone else who follows Him. He has already given you everything you need to do His work – in your workplace, in your community, and in your life.
Now, go to work today knowing He has made you well able – no matter what!
Do not fail Him.
Prayer
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I pray. Thank You for equipping me every day so I can be well able – no matter what – to carry out Your will. Amen.
