A Prayer in Song

Your way, O Lord, is rest for the weary, freedom for the prisoner.

Your way is feeding those who hunger, carrying those who stumble.

And your way is to seek and save the lost,

To bear the sins of the world till death upon a cross.

Your way is thunder in the desert and shelter in the tempest,

Your way is praying 'Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

Journal Exercise

All the people in today's Bible passages were at different stages in their Christian walk. Write a prayer about the steps you are taking to progress in your knowledge of the ‘Way of God' and your desire to become like Christ.

While Paul taught his disciples in the hall of Tyrannus, all those living in the Province of Asia heard the word of the Lord. Those who learnt of Jesus went and told others about him. Identify one segment of your society that needs to be penetrated by the gospel, and write a prayer asking God to send the gospel to these people.

A Challenging Prayer

Pray that God's people will multiply faithful Christian fellowships, congregations and churches, obediently living out and teaching God's word so as to equip and nurture their members, and expand themselves numerically.
