Speak Well: Learning the Language of Godনমুনা
Day 2: Communing with God Through Your Gifts
Devotional:
Growing up, many of my gifts were discovered at an early age. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a household where my gifts were seen and cultivated. I was taught the importance of honoring them and using them to minister to others. Through the years I let comparison, anxiety, and doubt distract me from fulfilling my purpose through my gifts. I often questioned if my gift was good enough. God continues to remind me that my gifts were made perfect. The gifts that He has given me will always be good enough to give Him praise.
Scripture Breakdown:
First Peter informs us of the purpose of the gifts that God has given us. It's one thing to be made aware of the gifts that we possess but it is another thing to understand how to use them. Our gifts are simply to honor and edify our Heavenly Father. Due to the uniqueness of our gifts, doubt and comparison can easily creep in. However, James 1 reminds us that all perfect gifts come from God. There is never a reason to doubt what God has given you. What He allows you to have, He will always use. Find confidence in knowing that your gifts are perfect because they come strictly from God the Creator.
Confidence and validation are your portion. Speak Well.
D's 3 Keys
D’s 3 Keys are tools that I created to help us become fluent in the Language of God. The three keys below will aid in our ability to understand how God speaks through our gifts.
1. Remember who gave you your gift!
2. Ask God to direct you in using your gift.
3. Remember that your gift is a direct line of communication to God.
