Seeking God in Worshipনমুনা
Jesus wept for Jerusalem by lamenting, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes.” (Luke 19:42 NIV84)
I wonder… I wonder to what extent, we, who follow Christ, miss seeing Him for all He is and all He brings to those who love Him (Ephesians 1:18-20). And if we had a greater revelation of Him, what manner of worship would result? God forbid that the rocks ever need to cry out in praise!
I made a list of the forms of worship in the Luke 19 passage.
Worship was given to Jesus by: complete and immediate obedience, reverent honor, and joyful shouts of praise.
Oh Awesome Father, open our spiritual eyes and give us a greater depth of understanding of Your glorious and matchless worth!
