Love Leaders Pursue Purity of Heart
Jesus called the pure in heart blessed. Purity of heart has to do with our motives. Love-driven leaders are as motivated to build people as they are to build a business. You may have heard the legendary Zig Ziglar’s quote “You don’t build a business—you build people— and then people build the business.” That quote can also apply to your church, your family, and your life.
Build yourself; build the people around you. God will then use you and others to build what He wants to build—in, through, and around you.
With every thought, word, and action love-driven leaders are building their lives, families, ministries, businesses, employees, and volunteers on a rock. When the winds of adversity blow, love will lead the way through.
Take some time to consider your motives. Love-driven leaders pursue success, but not at the expense of the people around them. Love-driven leaders pursue excellence, but not above being ambassadors for Christ in their conduct. Love-driven leaders are motivated ultimately by a desire to glorify God.
We hear God’s will through the words of Jesus. As we lead with the heart of God, we are ever reaching beyond our own beliefs and opinions to a higher standard, the Word of God and the example of Christ.
