The Right Decision

Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads? Facing a decision and stuck between two options and not knowing which way to turn? So often in life, we find ourselves wondering what the right decision might be. We wonder and wrestle with options and wait for guidance, but sometimes we never get a clear sign. More regularly, we have to use wisdom to discern what option might bring us closer to the heart of Jesus. And sometimes, there is not a wrong answer. Today as you make decisions, think about the heart and hopes of Jesus. What sorts of decisions bring Him glory? What decision brings you closer to His goodness? Instead of merely trying to do what is right, spend time learning about the person of Jesus and making decisions based on what brings you closer to His heart and His priorities.

Jesus, help me to see Your heart more clearly. I want my desires and decisions to align with the way You lived. As I stand at different crossroads throughout my day, help me to think about what brings me closer to the goodness promised in relationship with You. Give my eyes and mind clarity to know the truth of Your words and follow them in my choices. Help me to discern and use wisdom even when the choice might seem difficult. Jesus, You are so good. You are so faithful. You never leave me or forsake me. Help me feel Your nearness today. Amen.
