Peace Is Your Inheritanceনমুনা
Peace Is Connected To Your Heart
According to the Strong's concordance the Hebrew word for heart is "leb, " and the Greek word is "kardia" it is the chief organ of physical life, and it occupies the most important place in the human system. The heart is also used figuratively as the inner man, the part of man which thinks, lives, has a personality and most of all respond to God. It is regarded as the seat of emotions like joy, fear or sorrow and is also referred to as the fountain of man's deeds.
The heart is significant to God because God said, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you, your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26 NIV). Most of what we go through in life are dealt with internally, our worries, our fears, and anxiety about the future or the unknown; we act out what is going on, on the inside. God gave us a new heart at the time of being born again, and now we must guard our hearts. The enemy knows that because of our relationship with Jesus, he cannot accuse us anymore before the Father, but it doesn't stop him from trying to steal our peace. He works overtime to ensure our lives are chaotic and confused all the time.
We live in a fast-paced world, everything seems to move at warped speed and time seems never to be enough. We are always in a hurry and still can never complete our tasks for the day. More families are getting disconnected; relationships are compromised and accumulating more seems always to be trending. Jesus knew the times we would be living in and provided us an inheritance of peace to carry us through.
Our heart functions best when we are at peace and as we established yesterday only Jesus could give us that peace. Even though we have an inheritance of peace, it can only be operative in our lives if we keep our hearts guarded. We must learn how to filter information going into our ear and eye gates because what we meditate on will eventually get into our hearts. We must come to the understanding that the world will only continue to move faster and get darker as the end approaches. Life will continue to be a rush, and we will face storms and obstacles, but we need not let the outward circumstances dictate our inner peace. As long as we stay heart connected to God's word his peace will surround us.
"If God be our God, He will give us peace in trouble. When there is a storm without, He will make peace within. The world can create trouble in peace, but God can create peace in trouble." Thomas Watson
