Book By Book 3: Proverbs To Lukeনমুনা
Daniel now does an even more amazing thing; he tells the king what his dream was and what it meant. In Daniel’s interpretation, he tells of the major human empires that will follow Babylon and the one God will bring about that will destroy them all and last forever. In the midst of the Jews being held captive in a foreign land, God assures them he is still in control of human history and will, one day, remove all empires led by humans.
We know the empires to follow Babylon are the Persians, the Greeks, and the Romans. We can’t identify the weakest kingdom with certainty, but it will be destroyed by the kingdom of God taking over the earth. Like the Jews in Daniel’s day, we can become discouraged by how little influence God and his people seem to have. We too can be assured this is not how it will always be.
