It's Personal

DAY 12 OF 25

Of all the qualities that matter in a friendship, knowing someone has your back when things get tough is one of the best. The voices in our head feeding self-doubt, confusion, and uncertainty can be so loud, but when a trusted friend is there saying, “keep going”, “you’ve got this”, “you are right on track”, it’s exactly what you need to keep pushing you in the right direction.

We live in a time of a lot of noise. Silence is rare, and undervalued. We are bombarded with the voice of confusion and clutter. It can be hard to know who to listen to. This verse from Isaiah is a reminder that when we quiet our minds, we can trust there is a voice that will guide us, that has our back just like the best kinds of friends do. The Holy Spirit is the most trusted voice we can have in our lives.

Next time you are feeling overwhelmed with stress, confusion, or a multitude of voices that seem to be telling you conflicting things, take some time to quiet your mind and listen for the voice of our Teacher.

This voice is calling to us and telling us how to keep steady and true, where to turn, and where to go straight. We don’t need to see the whole road or journey. God has your back.

About this Plan

It's Personal

Everyone is different, yet we all share a common quality. Deep down, we were created to be deeply known by others and by God. We were made to experience relationships with others and a relationship with God that’s personal. Because when it’s personal, it changes things. Things matter more. People matter more. Over the next few weeks, we will discover a personal God and what that means for us.
