30 Days Defeating the Arch-Enemy of Our Finances (Mammon)

DAY 29 OF 30

SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT

The apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians that spiritual discernment is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Basically, it is the spiritual ability to differentiate between good and evil, between what is of the Holy Spirit and what is of the Devil. Mammon often acts subtly, but at times he acts blatantly. Our job is to develop discernment so we are not deceived. Do not see money as something neutral because in reality there is a spiritual entity behind it.

Whether you’re sitting at a negotiation table or receiving your monthly salary, ask God for discernment and wisdom. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Listen to the voice of God! He will speak for He cares about everything from the simple to the complex things in our lives. There are people we should definitely not do business with, and yet at other times doing business with a certain person may be an opportunity from God. We must have discernment!

Don't be afraid of money itself, but be discerning and wise in how you deal with it, whether you have little or much. Don't let Mammon trap you at any moment. Let your spiritual eyes be opened to see what is really going on. May you by this point be someone able to expel Mammon from atmospheres, families, businesses, wherever you go. The time of your being deceived by Mammon is over. Walk with your eyes wide open!

Remember: Spiritual discernment can save your finances. Ask God for this spiritual gift and learn to put it into practice!
