Tell It As It Is
“The Emperor’s New Clothes” is about pride and vanity. It also exposes the common man’s hypocrisy. Are we sometimes caught in similar situations? Averting our eyes from the truth and telling lies because of pride or cowardliness. Stop! For if good people do not tell the truth then folly will rear its ugly head bringing harm and destruction.
Prayer: Lord, take away my inclination to dress up Your truth in my way. Please grant me the boldness and simplicity of a child so that as I hear from you I will speak the truth. Let my speech and manner be loving, kind and gracious so the hearer will receive Your truth with an open heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
