God’s Vision for Your Family

‘And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house for three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obededom and all that he had.’

- 1 Chron 13:14

God has a vision for our family, and it is a beautiful picture that has Him in it. We didn’t know about Obededom until the ark of God was sent to his house and remained with his family.

God desires to be part of our families because the presence of God is the greatest cover any family can have. If Jesus is part of it, you can be sure the family will end well with the children carrying on the legacy of the kingdom to their generation.

No family can survive and prosper on every front without God’s intervention because family is God’s idea.

Even with Adam and Eve, God came down in the cool of the day to fellowship with them. God must be at the center of our families. Deliberately bring God’s perspective in while doing mundane tasks at home. Not just during devotions, but at every point in time.

‘And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.’ Gen 3:8

Expose your family to the presence of God, and you will find safety, provision, peace, purposeful living, and a positive legacy after the order of our heavenly father.

May the presence of God continually dwell in our homes in Jesus' name. Amen.
