7 Days Of Hope, Part 2নমুনা
Train-Wreck
I always tried to be strong during Christian's surgeries.
For Christian’s most major surgery I found myself vomiting in the family-sized restroom, tears and snot running down my face. This was not the Lacey I show on Facebook or the strong mom I had to be at his doctor appointments. My child’s life—his future—would be completely out of my hands for the next eight hours.
When I try to be the rock of the family during hard times, I end up becoming overstressed and overtired. I know I have to rely on God.
There is an amazing quote from author Lisa Bevere:
“If you think you’ve blown God’s plan for your life, rest in this: You, my beautiful friend, are not that powerful.”
I love that. I’m not that powerful. God doesn’t call us to be any of those things. He calls us to trust Him. God has a plan for me. He has a plan for my family.
He has a plan for you too. Interestingly, God is only able to work in us when we surrender to Him.
Think about a train-wreck moment in your life. Did you find it hard to trust God? What keeps you from leaning on God first?
