Facing the Enemyনমুনা

Who is the Enemy?
We are in a battle, and it isn't against flesh and blood. As Christians, we have an enemy and that enemy is Satan. But how can we experience victory if we don't know who we are facing? You can't fight something you don't understand.
Misconceptions and trivialization of Satan in popular culture have led to a lack of comprehensive knowledge about this influential being. Satan is not a symbolic figure or imaginary force, but a real, personal, and influential entity. Rejecting his existence contradicts the teachings of the Bible.
Satan, initially created by God, was originally good. Colossians 1:16 underscores God's role in creating all things, and Genesis 1:31 confirms that God deemed His creation, including Satan, as very good. However, Ezekiel 28:15-17 describes how Satan's pride led him from a blameless state to one of wickedness and violence. He aspired to take God's holy position. Isaiah 14:13-14 describes his aspirations as:
- Ascending into heaven
- Raising his throne above the stars of God
- Sitting enthroned on the mount of assembly
- Ascending above the clouds
- Making himself like the Most High
Satan is pride-driven and ambitious. He is self-focused, self-obsessed, and desirous of being honored above God and all others. This is the enemy we face.
