Daily Bible Reading – October 2023, "God’s Saving Word: Justice and Peace"নমুনা

October 31
Introduction
Today’s reading parallels the renewal of the covenant as recorded in Exodus 34. Moses is instructed to make the Covenant Box in which to place the tablets containing the Ten Commandments. The concluding verses outline the obedience that God demands.
Scripture Reading
Deuteronomy 10:1‒22
Today’s Key Verse: Deuteronomy 10:20
[Moses said:] “Have reverence for the LORD your God and worship only him. Be faithful to him and make your promises in his name alone.”
Reflect
Reread verses 12‒21. What does God demand? What do these verses teach you about God? In what ways do you demonstrate your reverence for God?
Pray
Lord God, teach me to do all that you command and keep me faithful. I promise to love and serve you with all my heart and to obey all your laws. You are my God, and I praise you for all the great and astounding things that you have done. Amen
