Armor of God: Learning to Walk in the Power and Protection of Our Lordনমুনা
Read: 2 Corinthians 5:17–21
SOAP: 2 Corinthians 5:21
God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.
Into the Text
Christianity is not "fair." It isn’t fair that the One without sin, who never did anything wrong, should pay the price for sinful people: the murderers, liars, cheaters, and every sinner in between. And yet, that is precisely what Jesus did on the cross.
One of the most remarkable aspects of our relationship with Jesus is that our sins no longer define us. Instead, we are covered by His righteousness. Jesus took our sins upon Himself and gave us His righteousness in sin's place. It is this truth that transforms us when we choose to walk in the light of God's love, secure in the knowledge that we are loved, forgiven, and made righteous through Jesus' sacrifice.
In God's love, He graciously equips us with the breastplate of righteousness. Even though we were given this righteousness once and for all when we placed our faith in Him, we live daily by God’s cleansing and grace, helping us guard our hearts against Satan’s strategic attacks. Satan may call us by our sins, but Jesus calls us by our names. It is Jesus' righteousness that protects our hearts from Satan's accusations.
Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the protection You have provided for us. Help me to live authentically and boldly in the armor You have lovingly given to me. Help me stand firm in Your grace and righteousness.
