TALKING to GODনমুনা
"Strength in Prayer"
Luke 22:41-43 KJV
"And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast and kneeled, and prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him."
In times of agony and trial, prayer is our refuge. Explore how prayer can provide the strength needed to navigate life's challenges.
What do we do when all hell seems to break loose upon us? What should be our response when our soul seems to be in great agony? The answer is not far-fetched-- we must pray. Jesus demonstrated what our response should be in the face of trials and pain: He prayed and talked to God because only the Father could help Him. We do not have an option apart from the path Jesus took. Pain and agony of the soul are part of human existence; that is why God gave us the path of prayer as a tool for experiencing victory.
When Jesus prayed, He received strength, according to our text. Some pain and grief won't go away; however, when we pray, we receive the strength to go through those difficult times. In the place of prayer, we can exchange our weakness for the strength of the Lord.
The Lord knows our weakness; therefore, He beckons on us to receive His strength, and only when we pray will we be able to obtain the Lord's strength
