The Letters Continued - 1& 2 Thessalonians | Philippians | James | Judeনমুনা
Jude is the second to last book of the Bible. It is said to be written by a brother of Jesus and James in AD 58-60. It is said that Jude did not place faith in Jesus until after the crucifixion and resurrection. We can picture him as a man who was sceptical for a time but came to a powerful faith in Jesus, who then travelled sharing the gospel while showing us a living example of faithfulness.
Though an incredibly short book of the Bible its message is timeless and relevant to all believers. Jude sought to protect Christian truth and called his readers to be passionate in their defence of the gospel. The message carried throughout Jude is that there is a truth worth fighting for. This truth is entrusted to us as believers - to preserve, defend, contend, and struggle for.
Jude urges us to steward our influence in this world and the Church by contending for our faith and remaining vigilant against hearsay. We are urged to be united and remember our shared salvation through Christ to stand firm in faith and fight for the truth.
