You can be at home in the fellowship of the Heavenly Father who loves you. And who’s ready for a discipline that will bring some FUN? Today, we learn about celebration. (Can you believe that it’s actually a discipline?)
Celebration is one of the most important practices because it completes the act of worship. We engage in celebration when we enjoy our lives and the world in conjunction with God’s greatness, goodness, and beauty. Through celebration, we experience our life and our world as God’s gift to us - because that’s exactly what they are.
Full delight and joy are the great antidote to despair. But of course, like any other discipline, we can abuse and misuse celebration. We stay vigilant against over indulgence in earthly pleasures, but when used appropriately, celebration is the answer to a world bent toward evil. In fact, our worship itself cannot be maintained without celebration in the midst of suffering like this world offers. God gave us celebration as a way to offset that pain and remember the good gifts He’s given us despite it all.
Today, embrace joy. Celebrate. Look for what brings your soul delight. And include God, because with Him you are at Home.

Today’s invitation:
Today, embrace celebration. Wear clothes you love to wear. Listen to music you love to listen to. Be around people you love to be around. Engage in your favorite activities. Go to places that bring you joy. Look at beautiful sights. Play games you love to play and eat food you love to eat. Whatever sparks joy within your heart, do such things, and all the while celebrate with God.
